Hello family and friends. Yesterday we drove to Kaiser hospital in Portland to have Michael’s biliary drains replaced. It went very well. He told me he won the nurse lottery. A man named John who was expert with IVs and blood work. He said the bilirubin was in the normal range. Excellent news. There were no additional things (like biopsies) performed so we were able to leave around 11AM (arrived at 7AM). However, on the way home fevers and shakes happened. This is pretty typical for Michael after a procedure, his body likely dealing with the anesthetics used and detoxing from that. This morning no fever, he is just a bit worn out.

Thankful for every day we have to experience life! And thank you for your prayers. I am pretty sure someone must have asked for a fabulous nurse. The doctor was great too. Side note: Looking forward to Michael getting the new hearing aids we ordered!

Thank you for sharing with us. We know these are not easy days, and yet something deep is happening for you and for your family. Opening of all of our hearts to one another is happening. We read again today Psalm 90, Moses’ psalm. Bill will be 90 years old in a few weeks. We are thankful for each day we have together, and thankful for family and friends. And we know that everything we have faced or will face Jesus experienced in His walk here on earth.
