Hello friends! A lot has happened in the last 6 weeks and I thought it would be prudent to send an update before the next adventure is upon me.
The second week of July we had a great time camping at Sol Creek Farms, next to the famed Oregon Country Fair. There we had our 2nd annual Refuge Tent to create a spiritual atmosphere for those attending the fair. We did some foot washing, praying, singing together, and a few of us partook in ecstatic dancing (me for sure). We also made connections with a world of wonderful people. When I say “we” I mean a smallish group of friends who meet together Sunday mornings before any church services to just connect and hold space for each other.
For me the experience was especially inspiring for a couple of reasons. One was that I realized how much I have healed since the previous year. This time I was so much more functional than I was a year ago when Michael had only been gone for 6 months. Another factor was that the directors of the camp asked me to teach qigong in their geodesic dome sanctuary. I taught at 8am Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. So many people came that there wasn’t enough room, and some had to stand outside the door looking in. One fellow was so appreciative of what I had to offer, he said I had changed his life in that very short encounter. So, people would come to the Refuge tent from my qigong class and people would come to qigong from the Refuge tent.
The fair itself was crazy as usual, I got to see the dragon parade again, but alas, no close ups of scantly clothed men in slow mo. OK that is a reference to the video I took by MISTAKE last year to share with my family. Maybe I didn’t share it with everyone but we got some really good laughs out of it.
I have also started a new way to work with the homeless. It is at a particular center where they have shelter huts to stay in, but the people are working off tickets for sleeping in the wrong place or disturbing the peace and the like. They can perform a service (like picking up trash) to do so. One of those “services” Anna has put forward to them is to take qigong classes with me. We are calling it “mindful Movement”. This seems to be working well because they do attend as best as they are able and really do seem to enjoy it! It does offer an alternative way to calm the nervous system besides acting out in an offensive manner. I will say it is not always the quiet listening that happens in my regular classes. But what a wonderful group of amazing souls!
On August 6 I returned from my 2-week “Spiraling The Energy Body” workshop in Longmont, Colorado. It was very dense material and a lot to absorb. I will be working to integrate all the new knowledge and transmissions into my current practice and also into some of the classes I am teaching. I feel so blessed to have access to this esoteric and powerful material on how to heal your own body.
Again, I met a lot of amazing people at the conference. I think there were around 144 of us there and many had been working with Master Bruce for decades. The main focus, to summarize, is first dropping your energy down from above your head to below your feet, then connecting with the energy coming up from the earth – feeling and allowing that force to move up the channels of your body to power your movements.
If you are curious here is a link to a description of the workshop I took.

I am home now and relaxing into a whole new life style that includes living with 2 amazing men who are always busy and curious about life. Yes, there is more stuff and food around the house, and maybe the main bathroom isn’t as tidy as it used to be, but that shows me that people are actually living here-and I am no longer alone, bouncing of echoing walls. And it seems, when you live with others, your outreach and expansion increases. You see more, hear more, and feel more of what is happening in your community. I do feel that is a healthy way to be!
On August 29th I plan to travel to San Antonio, Texas to be with John, Amanda, Anaiah, and Zaiah, to help them welcome their new little baby girl into this world. The planned return is September 19th, then back to work….:-)
