It has been a busy 14 days since the last update.

We did go to the Local interventional radiologists and we talked to the Physician’s Assistant. She checked the dressings and said he basically has diaper rash due to the continued moisture. She recommended using zinc oxide to keep the area dry and to drain bile into a bag until they can get him in for the cholangiogram. That is supposed to happen this Friday. We have managed to get the dressing change down to once a day and the redness has pretty much cleared up. Grateful!

I was even able to travel last Friday to Boston for my brother, Nick’s memorial on Saturday. I came home yesterday (Sunday) and Michael picked me up at the airport a 1:00AM, Yes there were some flight delays on the way home. So, I chilled in the airport doing lots of reading and relaxing. And I am embarrassed by how much time I spent playing games on my phone.

It was really good to be able to connect to family members on my trip back east. It had been almost 9 years since I had been there! And longer since I hung out with Nick and Duncan the twins.  I loved seeing all my siblings and their children. It wasn’t everyone but it was a great turnout. Many fun memories and stories were told about Nick during the service, which was very informal and held in Chrissy’s (his wife’s) living room.

Today I am home spending quality time with the little ones and yeah, well, their parents too!

Jerry is working on a sibling gathering for September here in the NW. We range from early 70s to early 80s and it looks hopeful that we will all get together! Glad to hear the “diaper rash” is so easily taken care of. I am sure hot weather doesn’t help.

Thank you for sharing with all of us what is happening in your lives. We continue to believe for answers for Michael… God has chosen him and known him before the foundation of the world. We declare that what the Lord has begun in you and Michael, He is continuing to perform in this Day of the Lord. So glad you were able to be with your family at this time of remembrance for your brother. Much love, Janet and Bill
