We had a wonderful visit to San Antonio. Michael was able to travel with no real problems. He got good exercise walking through the Denver airport wearing a back pack. haha. The TSA dudes did have to scan him a pressed a bit hard on his metal stent- they moved so fast it was hard to let them know not to do that. Next time.
On Friday last week 1/12/24, we had scheduled scan (CT and a PET scan) in Portland (2 hours drive). There were ice storm warnings for that day. Of course we prayed and requested a smooth trip and others agreed with us. And it was wonderful, the storm was delayed a day. And the ladies at the PET scan moved up his CT scans so he didn’t have to wait until 2PM. So we left the hospital at 12:33PM and drove south where it was 10 degrees warmer.
Well we are home now and the storm did come and everyone is stuck indoors. (Shades of Covid!) There is what looks white like snow outside but it is solid ice. It is due to warm up on Wednesday. Just in time for our trip back to Portland on Friday to get our second opinion. We will be talking to the surgeon and hopefully he will be able to interpret our scans properly.
