Michael has had a good week with no fevers and getting strength back mentally and physically. He actually rode his bicycle to the dentist to have his teeth cleaned on Tuesday. Well, part of the motivation has been the wonderful sunny weather we had in the 60s and 70s for almost 4 days. Perfect for bike riding. We had 3 days in a row with NO clouds. That doesn’t happen in the winter and hence realizing the beginning of spring! Also, our sweet neighbors mowed and weed whipped our large yard during the sunny days. It seems when spring peeks through, people come outside and work, bustling about weeding, mowing and cleaning the yards.
We visited Michael’s primary care doctor on Wednesday. She is very practical, and helpful and gives us solutions to help us deal with things like leaky drains, upset stomach, and bladder issues. We are thankful for her. Also, we are thankful for the infectious disease physician. When dealing with the infection from Tuesday the 12th, she actually changed the antibiotic twice to make sure it was correct. We have a referral to her so Kaiser is covering costs. Yay!
Today the trees are dancing. This happens when winds come through and stirs things up bringing clouds and spurts of rain. I am coming to appreciate this kind of weather. It is relaxing in a way. You decide it is not time to go work in the yard and easily decide it is ok to work on a puzzle or read a book. Nature is a great teacher and often I just want to sit with her and listen.
Blessings to all of you and we are grateful for your helpful prayers and good thoughts. I am amazed by Michael. He keeps bouncing back. There is more to do here in this phase of life, perhaps that is the message. Live in the moment.
