Three events shaped my hunger for experiencing God. This story is about one of them.
After my salvation experience I continued living with my childhood friend, Mike Robins, in what I now call the drug house. A few weeks after my conversion, old friends started to gather at the house and I didn’t want to participate in the drinking and pot smoking so I went to my room and fell asleep.
I woke up falling out of bed and something happened that I didn’t expect. It took about 15 seconds to hit the floor. I could see the energy shape of my torso, arms, and legs as I slowly fell and softly landed. My sight and hearing and emotions, and my whole consciousness was with me on the floor. This was no dream. I stood up and saw my physical body lying on the bed. Then I heard voices and saw light under my door. I wanted to see what was happening in the other room so I walked over to the door. When I grabbed the doorknob I was immediately and violently stabbed in the heart with a knife. It was painful. I fell backwards and hit the floor hard, then I prayed, “Help!” I was instantly wide awake in my body, in my bed. I got on my knees and asked what just happened. I saw a vision of a small group of people in a circle and was told it was witchcraft. I never mentioned this experience to any of my old friends.
My Comments:
- I was with my friends when they were being critical of another newly converted Christian. I assumed they were having a similar conversation about me that night. Witchcraft doesn’t require witches.
- Even though my out of body experience was the result of bad energy, God has a way of turning all things to good. Though the experience was short and I didn’t travel beyond my room, it was enough to transform my mind. The experience taught me that there is more to life than what meets the eyes and there is life beyond this physical veil.
- I tried to leave my body several times after this and came close once but never succeeded.
